We went to celebrate a special occasion and the food was delicious! The cheeses they use in their dishes tastes authentic! The service was great! We plan to go back to celebrate birthdays as well! We had other food that I should have taken pics of. The desserts are amazing!

Nice place for happy hour. Calamari was tender and juicy, probably the best of the four dishes we tried. Meat ball was also delicious while the clams and toast were just ok.

As a treat to him for Father's Day, I took my boyfriend out and suggested this place which I've been wanting to try. We got there a little after they opened that Sunday (around 4:15/4:20), so we were able to get our pick of bar seating. The place has a great vibe - kind of chic, new classic look and feel with dim lighting. Felt like a modern speakeasy - he really liked the vibes. Since they offer happy hour specials everyday from 4pm-6pm, we decided to get a bunch of options to share from that menu - both food and drinks. Starting with the drinks, we enjoyed all the ones we had and the bartenders really know what they are doing. Drinks were strong but not overpowering with the alcohol making for real balance. I started off with the Hotel Nacional and then switched over to the Lend Lease, while he tried both of those as well along with the Fly Me To The Moon (which I took a sip of ). Like I said, all of the drinks were great! Different tastes, but all well made. For the food, we ordered a bunch of stuff - sometimes two of one dish lol. Fried Calamari, Pizza (pepperoni), Caesar Salad, Meatballs, Parm sandwich, Shrimp Scampi and Mussels Guiseppe. The Caesar Salad was very good! Like, we were shocked at how good we felt that salad tasted lol. Everything else was good - nothing that stood out more than other places where we've had similar dishes, but not bad either. Would definitely come back for the drinks, vibes and to try some entrees and other items from the main menu.

This is probably the best happy hour in philly. $7 coctails with cheap food and apatizers as well. The drinks were good as well. Each had its own distinct flavors and seemed like they used pretty decent alcohol as well. The atmosphere was great as well. A long hallway opens up into a warm classy bar with various cozy seats around. The staff was super friendly as well and even let us work at the bar. Overall a great spot for happyhour.

I found our couch seats to be very comfortable, but the tables were kind of small and uncomfortable to eat on. We did not receive any complimentary bread, which is okay but -1 on service. Service also seemed to be rushing us despite being early in the evening, but had no real issues with that. Ambiance was very very dark, took some time to get used to. Don’t get me wrong I love a dark ambiance, but you gotta be careful going down those stairs haha. We shared a spicy rigatoni alla vodka and a Caesar salad. I believe the. rigatoni needed more cheese & cream - too heavy on the tomato sauce but I did like that there was a small bite with the added chili spice. The Caesar was classic, but quite overpriced for what it was and the quantity received. I recommend exploring other options on the menu and I hope to return for a more positive experience with Giuseppe.

We had our wedding dinner here and it was perfect! The food was so delicious and they were great with accommodating to our groups dietary restrictions. We had our event in the Louis private dining room and it was GORGEOUS! The decor gave it such a warm, intimate feel. Anthony was an amazing host! He was so funny, kind and attentive! Btw, the food was so good we came back the next night for dinner.

This italian speakeasy is one of my favorite restaurants in philly! Everything from the ambiance, mood lighting to food is top tier. I’ve been 5 times, but this most recent trip was special. We sat in a corner booth and our experience was relaxed, not rushed and we were able to enjoy every course and drink. We started with the complimentary bread basket, the tomato pie slices are next level. I got a kick in the head drink and it was good, a little too juice like but still well balanced. We then got the calamari and cheesesteak stromboli for starters. The calamari melted in my mouth and was some of the best I’ve had. The stromboli was good, but it didn’t wow me. The bread was a little too hard. I got the spicy rigatoni alla vodka and I will be dreaming about it! It was cooked perfectly al dente and the sauce had a nice kick to it that gradually built up. My friends had the salmon and broccoli rabe, both so flavorful. We ended the night with espresso martinis, which made it in my top 5! They were the perfect combination of sweet and chocolatey. I will absolutely continue to come back here, they have a great happy hour too!
